Dan built a raised bed garden for us a few weeks ago. It's not too big, so it feels manageable and we can add another bed later if we want more space. This year, we planted corn, romaine lettuce, yellow beans, peppers, and tomatoes. We're having fun watching it grow.
The weather has been beautiful this week, so we took full advantage of it with a trip to the zoo, two to the beach, and setting up our baby pool for the first time. Brielle seems to love being outside just as much as Joshua, and we're glad they're active. If the door is open, Brielle runs over to it and starts scooting out. (She started running this week. Also, got her first skinned knee today and didn't flinch or make a sound...just got up and kept on running down the sidewalk...such a second child.)
Swimming
Brielle wandered around on her own...happy as a lark.

A few more cute stories...mostly because I want to remember them...a month or so ago Josh picked up on the word Hallelujah in a song on the radio and started saying it, but then it died off. This week, he brought it back with a vengeance and randomly busts out with his own Hallelujah choruses. It's so precious to hear that sweet word coming from that little mouth. Brielle has started imitating him and saying it too...doubly precious!
Also, Josh has entered into the question asking phrase with his favorites being..."Who bought that?", "Who's car is that?", and "What's his name?". Sometimes "Who bought that?" isn't an appropriate question...like for homemade pumpkin bread, so we've corrected him with "Who made that?". It rained the other night and Josh's first question in the morning was, "Who made that rain?" Which he answered himself with, "God made it."
And finally, both kids are in a super friendly stage. Especially Brielle. They wave and say 'Hi' repeatedly to anyone and everyone we pass in public. It's fun to see how much it brightens other people's days and interesting to note how many people either don't hear them or ignore them...which causes Josh to say, "Talkin' you"...as in, "Hey, I'm talking to you here!" Too funny!
